Privacy Policy
Effective October 25, 2026 · Last updated October 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Orca Operating Partners (“Orca,” “we,” “us”) handles personal information in connection with this website, inquiries, our newsletter and introductory appointments. It does not replace privacy or confidentiality terms agreed in a client engagement.
PDF resource access
To access an Insights PDF, we collect your name, email address, requested resource, submission time and acknowledgment of the resource-access notice. These records are stored in Cloudflare Workers KV for up to 12 months, then expire automatically unless separately retained where legally required. We use them to provide requested resources and manage resource requests. Submitting this form does not subscribe you to a newsletter or grant permission to publish your information. A secure, HttpOnly resource-access cookie remembers access to the requested PDF for 30 days; it contains no name or email address. Delete cookies to reset access. For access, correction or deletion requests, contact support@orcaoperatingpartners.com.
Information we receive
When you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, company, role, business priorities and correspondence. Scheduling an appointment may provide us with your name, email address, meeting details and answers you submit. Subscribing to Orca Insights provides subscription information through Substack, including your email address and any profile information you share.
Our hosting and embedded-service providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device details, requested pages, timestamps and security-related logs when you visit or interact with the website.
Inquiries and financial tools
The website inquiry form prepares a message in your email application. Completing the form does not send it automatically; review and send the message to contact us. Information reaches us when you send the email. The website’s illustrative financial calculator performs its calculations in your browser; the calculator does not submit your inputs to Orca through a dedicated calculator submission endpoint. Hosting and third-party services may still process technical visit information.
Please do not send account credentials, government identification numbers, payment details, personal financial records, or confidential client or transaction materials through the public inquiry form or an introductory booking.
How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, arrange meetings, assess potential engagements, deliver requested publications, manage our business relationships, maintain website security and functionality, and meet applicable legal obligations. If we later enter an engagement, its agreement governs the scope of services and any additional confidentiality arrangements.
Service providers and external services
We use Cloudflare to deliver this website, Google Calendar for appointment scheduling, Substack for newsletter subscriptions and distribution, and Google Fonts for typography. These providers may receive information when their resources or embedded content load, including before you submit a form. They may use cookies, local storage or similar technologies under their own policies. Our email provider also processes messages you send to us.
See Cloudflare’s privacy policy, Google’s privacy policy and Substack’s privacy policy. Their independent practices are governed by their respective policies. Orca may also disclose relevant information when legally required, to protect rights or security, or to professional advisers assisting with legitimate business matters.
Cookies and browser choices
You can manage cookies and similar storage through your browser, although blocking them may affect embedded subscriptions or scheduling. You can also contact us by email instead of using these embeds. The site does not implement a separate response to the legacy browser “Do Not Track” signal. Embedded services may respond differently under their own settings and policies. This statement does not limit any rights concerning legally recognized privacy preference signals.
Retention, security and international processing
Retention depends on the information, the purpose of the relationship, applicable recordkeeping requirements, and legitimate legal or security needs. We do not promise a fixed deletion period for all records. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate, whose laws may differ from those where you live. No website, email service or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
You may unsubscribe using the link in an Orca newsletter. To ask about information we hold, request access, correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, email support@orcaoperatingpartners.com with “Privacy request” in the subject. Depending on applicable law, you may have additional rights to restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, obtain a copy, or complain to a privacy regulator. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where permitted or required by law. Requests about information independently held by Google or Substack may also need to be directed to that provider.
Children and policy changes
This website is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us. We will post changes to this policy here and update its date. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
